More than 620 students graduated from Bismarck State College after completing the Spring 2019 semester. The college's 79th commencement ceremony was held on May 10, 2019 at the Bismarck Event Center.

More than 235 students from across the globe graduated from Dickinson State University in the 2018-2019 academic year, including the 2018 and 2019 summer semesters. This number includes the 156 baccalaureate and 37 associate degrees that were awarded at the University's 99th annual spring commencement ceremony Saturday, May 11, 2019.

More than 590 high school students from North Dakota and South Dakota kick started their Beyond at Bismarck State College while still in high school through the BSC Early Entry program in Spring 2019. Early Entry allows high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to take college courses and receive college credit, which also may be used to meet their high school graduation requirements.

Five Bismarck State College Engineering Technology students were recently chosen to attend the Frontier Precision North Dakota User Group Forum and the North Dakota Society of Professional Land Surveyors (NDSPLS) 40th Annual Convention.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that 597 women's volleyball student-athletes have been named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Five University of Jamestown student-athletes--Kennedy Conzemius (SR/Breckenridge, Minn.), Britta Knudson (JR/Bismarck, N.D.), Miranda Lowman (JR/Mandan, N.D.), Jordan Thomas (JR/Pingree, N.D.), and Isabel Wedell (JR/Ellendale, N.D.)--were selected for the honor. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
